Science education majors from several local colleges, as well as current high school and middle school science teachers, have been placed in internships in local businesses. These businesses are in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields, and provide the Beckman Coulter interns with experiences in the business aspects of science. Current host businesses are:
Certified Aviation Services, Inc., San Bernardino, CA - The Beckman Coulter intern is working on aviation engineering and application projects, including the development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

City of San Bernardino Water Department-The intern at this site is helping research and report on the Greenhouse Gas Footprint for this public utility.
